Two diademed male heads facing slightly away from each other; above and below, ‘lā ilāha illā Allāh / Muḥammad rasūl Allāh’ (‘There is no deity but Allah. Muhammad is the messenger of Allah’ in Arabic); to left, citing the ʿAbbasid caliph ‘al-Mustanjid billāh’ (AH 555-566 / AD 1160-1170); to right, ‘amīr al-muʾminīn’ (‘Commander of the Believers’ in Arabic). Rev. Female head facing; in the margin, ‘Najm al-Dīn Alpī ibn Īl Ghāzī ibn Urtuq malik Diyārbakr’ (Najm al-Din Alpi, son of Il Ghazi, son of Urtuq, King of Diyarbakr’ in Arabic). Album 1827.5. Areas of weakness and with minor traces of overstriking, otherwise, good very fine.
